GOOD TO KNOW

A few quick answers.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Validation and conversion happen locally in this browser tab. Files are not sent to a server.

Which formats and limits are supported?

You can add JPG, PNG, WebP, and a safe subset of SVG images, up to 20 files at a time and 25 MB per file (50 MB of SVG per session). Raster and embedded SVG outputs are limited to 4,096 px per side and 16,777,216 pixels. Vectorized SVG traces at up to 1,024 px per side, runs for at most 15 seconds, and is limited to 8 MB. Converted files are held locally up to 256 MB per session.

What happens to SVG files?

SVG files are parsed locally and only supported vector shapes and local gradients are accepted. Accepted SVGs can be rasterized to JPG, PNG, or WebP. SVG embedded preserves the original appearance using an embedded PNG, so it remains raster artwork. SVG vectorized approximates the image as editable vector paths; it can change colors, lose detail, and create larger files, especially for photographs. Transparent pixels are represented by transparent vector regions. Imported SVG scripts, text elements, embedded images, filters, CSS styling, external references, and non-pixel physical units are not supported.

What should I know before converting to JPG?

JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas may appear with a solid background. Quality and file size also vary by browser and image.
